John Nugent

CEO

John has worked in the financial services IT sector since 1984. Working with leading systems providers like Temenos and MISYS in over 40 countries over 30 years in varying roles across a range of 180+ financial institutions including central banks (Bank of England), worldwide banks (ABSA) and local institutions (Botswana Building Society). Locally John has worked with all the Irish banks including AIB, Bank of Ireland, Irish Permanent, EBS, First Active, KBC as well as international banks operating in the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin, Ireland.

John first became involved in credit unions/SACCO sector in 2003 when requested by the then regulator to assist in the reorganisation of a major IT project in a number of credit unions. Since 2003, e-CFS has developed it’s operations in the credit union, banking and financial services sectors in Ireland. Expanding into the UK in 2010, e-CFS quickly became the second largest supplier of systems to UK credit unions. More recently e-CFS expanded into Africa in 2016 with over 90 sites utilizing e-CFS solutions with an office established in Nairobi, Kenya in January 2019.

John has participated in many voluntary/co-operative organisations at various levels including supervisory role in his local credit union, building society member board, community centre board, school board, soccer club coaching and is a strong believer in the community/co-operative model.

Mick McHale

A veteran of the UK financial services markets with leading institutions such as Barclays, Woolwich, Cardpoint, Mick has played a significant role in the development of the UK and International markets for e-CFS. Managing the UK operations has resulted in the growth of the user base in this key market.

Mick’s experience in international financial services markets has driven the firms expansion into Africa where e-CFS has developed a reputation for delivering robust solutions in a challenging market.

John Delaney

With over 30 years of experience in the development of banking platforms and technologies, John has developed extensive cross platform IT expertise. Working in AIB, Bank of Ireland, An Post, First Active has given John a unique insight to the challenges of the fast moving financial services sector.

With a particular focus on new technologies, John has been spearheading the drive into Online and Mobile Services.

John enjoys music and travel.

Garret Fennelly

An experienced developer with a wide range of capabilities in systems and operations.

Garrett is particularly focussed on core banking services that drive dynamic financial institutions. Scalability and resilience are a particular passion ensuring systems developed by e-CFS

are robust and scalable for the new challenges of the changing financial services models.
