Mendip Credit Union, based in the county of Somerset, has embarked on a project to migrate their BACUS credit union solution to The Cloud to improve service availability throughout the county. Based in Glastonbury, the credit union has been providing services to it's members through office, phone, post and collection points. With the Covid-19 restrictions, collection points have been closed and the credit union has been faced with challenges to maintain services. As part of it's development the credit union has decided to operate The Cloud version of BACUS enabling better access for staff and volunteers to the system for service provision. e-CFS has been commissioned to implement a cloud based BACUS solution for the credit union to operate on throughout the county. A secure server in the UK e-CFS hosting centre has been established to provide the service and is currently undergoing trials before going live in February 2021. The credit union are delighted to have access from multiple locations in the county facilitating better services for members.
